Yes, you can. However, we would not recommend doing it often. The goal of the ED visa is for you to stay and study in Thailand. Frequently traveling out of the country could raise suspicions with immigration. There is also a fee of 1,000 baht for a re-entry permit for any type of visa for those who want to travel and maintain their existing visa. Please note that this 1,000 baht re-entry fee is paid to immigration, not the school. It doesn’t matter which school or which visa you’re on, you will need to pay this fee.
- Visa application fee: 1,000 baht
- Visa extension fee: 1,900 baht
- Re-entry : 1,000 baht (For travelling out of Thailand)
Students will receive an initial 2-3 month visa that requires renewal every 2-3 months, depending on immigration requirements. All visa fees, including renewals, are paid directly to immigration authorities and are standardized across all educational institutions in Thailand. Schools cannot change or reduce these government-set fees.
At BKK Language School, we believe in complete transparency and tell you everything upfront. Don’t be misled by other schools that may hide these costs or make false promises. These fees are non-negotiable government requirements – there are no loopholes or special deals. If anyone tells you they can offer better rates or avoid these fees, it’s a scam. They will take your money and change their story later, leaving you with unexpected costs and complications. We provide honest, upfront information so you can make informed decisions without unpleasant surprises.
Please note that all visa applications/extensions are to be done at Immigration Division 1: Government Complex, located at: 120 ซอย แจ้งวัฒนะ 7 อาคาร รัฐประศาสนภักดี B, 120 Chang Watthana 7 Alley, Thung Song Hong, Lak Si, Bangkok 10210.
Yes, we provide certificates for each course upon completion.
We also offer English and Thai language courses that come with an ED Visa.
