Option 1: apply inside Thailand
Enter on a Tourist Visa or visa-exempt, then apply here
We highly recommend getting a Tourist Visa (TR-60) at a Thai embassy before you travel, because it gives 60 days plus 1 extension of 30 days. You can also enter visa-exempt, but then you must come to the school to enroll and pay within 2 working days of arriving. We prepare the documents and you apply at Immigration Division 1 in Bangkok.
- This must be no more than your 2nd Thailand entry this calendar year. With more entries, the school normally cannot convert your visa inside Thailand.
- You need at least 50 days of permitted stay left when you enroll and pay. 75 days gives a comfortable margin. A Tourist Visa (TR-60) gives 60 days and a visa-exempt stamp usually 30. The 1 extension adds 30 days, or 7 days for listed nationalities, so a visa-exempt stay only works for nationalities with the 30-day extension. The extension costs 1,900 THB, a government fee paid to Immigration, the same for ED Visa students at any school. Immigration decides on the extension, and the school is not responsible if it is refused.
Repeated Thailand entries or a criminal record may affect eligibility, so send us your passport and entry stamps before you travel.
Option 2
Apply before you arrive

This is guidance, not a visa decision. Thai visa and immigration rules can change at any time without notice. Our team checks your passport, entry history and the current rules before you enroll or pay.
The 3 routes this check chooses between
Route 1: Apply inside Thailand
For visitors here on a Tourist Visa (TR-60), which we highly recommend, or visa-exempt and enrolling within 2 working days of arriving, with at least 50 days of permitted stay, counting 1 extension, when they enroll and pay, and no more than 2 Thailand entries this calendar year. You enroll at the school, we get Ministry of Education approval, and you apply at Immigration Division 1 in Bangkok.
Route 2: Start in Thailand, apply overseas
For visitors here visa-exempt for more than 2 working days, with too little permitted stay, or with 3 or more entries this calendar year. You enroll here, then apply at a Thai embassy abroad after the Ministry approval is ready. You can also leave, re-enter Thailand, ideally on a Tourist Visa (TR-60), then use Route 1 if eligible.
Route 3: Apply before you arrive
For people outside Thailand. You enroll remotely, we email the approval documents, and you apply for the ED e-Visa from the country you are in. To use Route 1 instead, we highly recommend getting a Tourist Visa (TR-60) before travel, or enter visa-exempt and enroll within 2 working days of arriving, with at least 50 days left and no more than 2 Thailand entries this calendar year.
